Dr. Karin Hotchkiss serves as the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of St. Joseph's Children's Hospital in Tampa, part of BayCare Health System. In this leadership role, she provides strategic clinical direction to ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. She oversees the development and evaluation of pediatric programs, monitors safety and quality standards, and leads initiatives for continuous improvement. She also coordinates medical staff activities to ensure compliance with bylaws, ethical standards, and corporate and regulatory requirements.
Dr. Hotchkiss is helping lead the development of the new freestanding Pagidipati Children's Hospital at St. Joseph's, scheduled to open in 2030. This facility will introduce state-of-the-art pediatric care, focusing on innovative design, advanced technology, and the integration of artificial intelligence to support pediatric-centric delivery systems.
In addition to her executive leadership, Dr. Hotchkiss is a board-certified pediatric otolaryngologist and founder of Tampa Children's ENT. She remains actively involved in patient care, bringing more than two decades of experience to families across Tampa Bay.
Dr. Hotchkiss has pursued extensive training at some of the nation's leading institutions, preparing her to provide advanced pediatric ENT care while also excelling in healthcare leadership.
